Tell us a bit about yourself and what you do?

I’m Naiara, co-founder of Backture Organics, an organic skincare brand for the adventurous man. 100% natural ingredients inspired by the botanical and therapeutic essences of the mediterranean.

I’m also a designer who loves architecture, abstract art and cats. Over the years I have learned to value my free time and my health.

Instagram worth following?

Favourite place to swim?

I love to swim in Cala San Vicent in the north of the island. It is a lovely place with a little “cala” and the sunrise is wonderful there.

Favourite restaurant?

There are many restaurants around the island which are worthy to mention, but Botànic is by far my favourite. Great patio, amazing building and even better food. If I have to mention another restaurant I will mention “Restaurante Bon Bar” in Cala Figuera. Amazing place, with loveable views and great seafood among other things.

Favourite bar, cafe or bakery?

There is a Cafe-Store in Santanyi, Terraorigens. It is near Plaça Mayor, where you can taste great food with a nice tea or beer and even buy a nice piece of pottery or other artisan products.

Who is making a product we should know about?

The locals for sure. A good example of this is “El Mercado del Olivar” in Palma, it is a small market but it has everything, its aromas and its bustle are worth feeling, as well as buying locally produced products and they have very good quality .

Best month of the year on Mallorca?

Definitely May, the island starts flourishing, we let behind winter and low temperatures and a new era begins until October. A different one, there are two islands, winter island with few people in small towns and fewer on the beach, and summer island with joy and people all around the island.

What is your favourite town in Mallorca?

have a long list, but if I have to choose just one, Santanyi is my favourite town in Mallorca. Its streets have a special charm, its small shops with local crafts, and its beautiful architecture fascinate me. Definitely one of my favourites.

What is your favourite hotel on the island?

Son Brull Rural Sanctuary Hotel & Spa, quiet place where you can take a break and enjoy the benefits of water treatments and nice wines. Respectfully conserved, the building is also a monument itself and the surroundings are marvellous.

What is one other secret/great tip about Mallorca that you'd like to share with our readers?

I would like to say that all the island is a secret spot until you discover it by yourself. I know it may be a silly answer but for me the island is very charismatic and full of little spots where you can delight your senses, even if it is crowded. Go and explore the island with patience and enjoy the ecosystem of Mallorca.
