Tell us a bit about yourself and what you do?

I am a holistic Ayurvedic health consultant and Katonah Yoga Teacher from Switzerland. I am passionate to teach these sister sciences in a modern and accessible way. So that people can find their way back to their rituals of self-care and learn to create islands of rest for themselves in this busy world. I believe trough simple changes and practices aligned with natures cycle, you can bring so much healing and well-being into your life.

I offer Ayurveda nutrition consultations, cooking classes, curated retreats and workshops centered around self-care practices and Vedic rituals. I’m sharing knowledge on Ayurveda herbs and spices as well as private yoga classes based on the methods of Katonah Yoga. Together with my friend and Kundalini Yoga teacher @gabrielle_anand we offer experiences called "Venusian Gatherings“ where we share our favourite seasonal practices. We select stunning locations around the island that are aligned with our seasonal theme. Also I teach a regular Katonah Yoga workshop at @HEATPalma. It’s a syncretic Hatha Yoga practice that uses restorative techniques, to fit yourself instead of others, to practice smarter instead of harder.

You can find my offerings on instagram: @isla.yoga.veda or on my website.

Instagram worth following?

Favourite place to swim?

I was recently introduced to the cova next to Béns d’Avall. I instantly fell in love with its Venusian vibe. But I also like Es Trenc’s Caribbean feel for its spaciousness. All off season of course.

Favourite restaurant?

There are so many good ones, I pivot between these for their consistency in quality and friendliness: @saplacetapalma offer a shared dish concept using products from local farms. Another classy one is @el_camino_palma I like how they put quality produce at the centre of a dish without any high cuisine frivolity. I specially like how you can watch the mind-blowing teamwork from the bar. My first big love dates way back @canatoneta, the first time I tasted a coca and got introduced to soulful modern Mallorquin deliciousness. If you are looking for the best Llonguets with great vegetarian options @panorama.barbazar is a must. Also I like their adjacent concept store with niche fanzine’s and ceramics, a space offering regular art shows. My favourite tostadas are served @caferiutort. Their daily special, will never disappoint.

Favourite bar, cafe or bakery?

For sourdough bread I rotate between @ucobakery and @panenostroeco_mallorca. If I crave a croissant and sweet treats its @candeparismallorca. For brunch @lamoliendapalma

Who is making a product we should know about?

Artist Sylvia Sánchez Montoya @sylvia_smm is a Columbian artist, her woven contemporary art pieces called "Moiras“ are sensual and modern. Also I appreciate the sustainable concept of @accidenteconflores offering a clothing line and accessories, which are designed and sewn locally, supporting the work of the artisans of the island.

Best month of the year on Mallorca?

Every month holds its charms.

What is your favourite town in Mallorca?

Clearly Palma, I love the dynamic of it, the vibrant food scene, the many little streets and corners you can wander around get lost and always discover something new. It never get’s boring.

What is your favourite hotel on the island?

I like Finca Serena and the stunning view on to the golden fields of the Pla de Mallorca during summer.

What is one other secret/great tip about Mallorca that you'd like to share with our readers?

If you like a speak easy feel, cocktails and some jazz this is a nice spot @door13bar.
